About the course

This course is an exciting opportunity for performers and creators working within the performance industry to familiarise themselves with the fast-growing motion capture sector.

In this highly practical one-day session, participants will work in LAMDA's brand-new, 30-camera MOCAP studio, and learn how to perform with this cutting-edge technology.

What will I learn?

  • Get ‘suited up’ and learn how to work practically inside a motion capture vault.
  • Understand motion capture terminology and the creative pipeline required for Motion Capture projects
  • Participate in group activities geared towards emulating a small-scale real-world scenario.
  • Receive an immersive introduction to the basics of character creation, idles and walk cycles.

Is this course for me?

This course is aimed at actors, directors and industry professionals looking to update their skillset and spend a day working with MOCAP technology.

No previous experience of working with Motion Capture is necessary, but to get the most out of this course, you will have significant performance or performance-adjacent experience.
