Get Involved: Group Qualifications Review
We have recently launched a review of our Group Suite of Qualifications containing:
- Group Acting – Entry Level, Grade 1-8
- Group Devising – Entry Level, Grade 1-8
- Group Musical Theatre – Entry Level, Grade 1-8
- Group Recital – Entry, Grade 1-3
- Group Choral Speaking – Entry, Grade 1-3
As a part of this review we would like to invite you to be involved and provide feedback in a manner that is convenient to you. You can be a current user of the qualification, you may have thought that you would like to use one or all of these qualifications in future, or you may just have a personal interest in these subjects. We welcome all feedback from all parties.
There will be different levels of involvement offered to suit all. These include:
- Full involvement in a working group – this will require a commitment to attend at least 3 meetings of 1 hour to discuss key questions and provide feedback verbally. There are limited numbers of places available in each working group, so inclusion in these groups will be by invite only.
- Provision of written feedback – There will be 2 ways to provide this feedback, an online survey, or by email. You will be sent each draft that has been designed following collation of feedback, and you can choose how much feedback you give at each stage.
The reviews will be split into 3 groups:
- Group Acting, Devising and Musical Theatre – Entry Level, Grade 1-5
- Group Acting, Devising and Musical Theatre – Grade 5-8
- Group Recital and Choral Speaking
The first step to getting involved is to express your interest. To do this, please send an email to [email protected]. In the email, please state:
- Your name
- Which Group(s) you would like to be involved with
- Your chosen level of involvement
- Your current/future experience/interest in the qualifications and the types of Learners you work with or will work with in relation to these qualifications.
Expressions of interest must be received by 30 September 2024 to be considered.

News for Private Centre Customers
Private Centre Reports Now Accessible on ExamTrack
Up until now we have been sending out reports such as draft timetables and special attention reports as an email attachment. To make life easier and prevent emails getting lost, you can now access all the relevant reports related to planning and preparing for your Private Centre Exam Events via your ExamTrack login. These are formatted in the same way and can be printed in full, or in part.
Please look out for the email notifications telling you there are reports available.
For examination events starting from 15 February 2023, we will no longer send any of these reports by email. The only reports you will receive by email will be the Results Summary when your learners have completed their exams and they have been marked and moderated.
News for Remote Online Assessment Customers
Update on Remote Online Assessments (ROAs) for Group Exams
LAMDA has been working on delivering remote online assessment (ROAs) for Group Exams. Testing has been undertaken to explore different assessment methods to ensure that the Group ROAs are fully comparable with Group Face-to-Face examinations. The testing has indicated that conducting Group ROAs, in the same manner as we conduct other ROA exams, does not work. This is because of the limitations of remote meeting software. Therefore, there has been a delay in delivering the Group Exams online. A self-tape option is currently being explored, but we need to test it before offering the exams in this format.
Please note that, due to interactive elements that are part of the Assessment Criteria, some Group Exams will not be offered in online format and will be only available as Face-to-Face exams. These exams are Level 3 Group Devising Drama and Introductory (all stages). We strive to bring you a solution for all other Group ROAs by the end of 2023 and will keep you updated on our progress.
