About the ensemble
Youth Company is the place for you if you love performing and you want to find your people. This ensemble is your essential starting point for learning the rules of the rehearsal room and gaining foundational performance skills training in acting, movement and voice.
The company will be led by an expert LAMDA tutor who will introduce you to the idea of the ensemble – the belief that drama is a collaborative art form and that it is important to work together to achieve creative excellence. Through working in this way, you will collectively nurture and celebrate each other’s unique talents, and you’ll begin to discover who you are as a performer and artist.
The daily sessions you’ll partake in as a company will introduce you to skills training, which will give you a set of tools and techniques which you’ll learn to utilise when exploring a rehearsal a text. You can expect to be working on material that feels fresh, exciting and relevant, and your week of rehearsal will culminate in an informal sharing of your work in front of your classmates and tutor.
