LAMDA and Audible partnership wins Gold at Corporate Engagement Awards
There was success for LAMDA at this week’s Corporate Engagement Awards! We’re thrilled our creative partnership with Audible won Gold in the “Best CSR activity or programme to support or develop a corporate reputation” category. Our partnership was described as a “match made in heaven” with judges calling it “a partnership with obvious synergy and mutual benefits”.
Our collaboration with Audible has just entered its third year, and aims to train the next generation of audio performers and create original content for new audiences. Support provided includes expertise with specialised audio skills training and funding of three scholarships for undergraduate students from lower socio-economic backgrounds and the Student Hardship Fund.
This award acknowledges our ongoing success, with recent alumni who worked with Audible during their training going on to have successful careers in audio work including 2019 graduates Ell Potter (Lem ‘n’ Ginge), Scarlett Courtney (Madam, Will you Talk?, BBC Radio 4) and Sam Stafford (Pride & Prejudice, Audible).
We also recently released GNR8T: Series 2, a collection of four original audio dramas performed by LAMDA students and created in partnership with Audible. Read more here.
