Birmingham Regional Pathways Open Day
The LAMDA Regional Hub Pathways Open Days are for young people aged 16-25 and currently members of a local LAMDA pathways partner organisation.
They are an opportunity to experience a whole day of workshops and Q&A sessions led by LAMDA tutors, current students and graduates.
Along with young people from other local schools, colleges and youth arts organisations, participants can find out more about what training at LAMDA might be like and ask questions about our courses.
It is also a chance to bust some of the myths that might prevent them from applying or pursuing a career in the arts.
Every Pathways Open Day is free and all participants are eligible for a Pathways Audition Fee Waiver once they have taken part.
On Saturday 5th February 2022, we welcome over 50 young people to the Birmingham REP for the Birmingham Pathways Open Day.
Participants attended from a range of local Pathways partner organisations including Young REP, Vision Centre for Actors, Frantic Assembly Ignition, Birmingham Hippodrome and Stage2.
The event included three workshops led by LAMDA tutors and ended with a group Q&A session with current LAMDA students and graduates.
The three workshops were:
-
Acting delivered by Brittany Cope and assisted by current BA (Hons) Professional Acting student Naia Elliott-Spence
-
Movement delivered by Samuel Adebayo and assisted by 2021 BA (Hons) Professional Acting graduate Joshua Rogers
-
Voice delivered by Jeremy Finch and assisted by 2021 MFA Professional Acting graduate Emmanuel Olusanya
