Half & Half One is the first collection of 20 minute pieces in the festival programme.
Parvati & Padma

Parvati and Padma are non-identical twin sisters. Their parents made the journey from India to Ilford armed with their favourite children’s books, and named their daughters after their favourite characters.
Now 16, Padma and Parvati are alone in their parent’s flat - making potions, storing the past, divining the future. The phone rings repeatedly. An aunt and uncle. A doctor. The police. A play about sisterhood, magic, and how far fantasy can outrun reality.

Emma’s a musician, she wants to compose for films but doesn't think the world will take her seriously. Also, she’s going deaf. Ryan’s an artist, no one’s ever taken him seriously. Also, he's going blind. Also, they fall in love.
Now it’s 20 years later. Ryan sits on a bench, wondering if there's any chance for him and Emma to go back. And tell each other the things they both know they wanted, but never managed to say.
