Nicoletta Bonanni
Nicoletta ‘Key’ Bonanni is movement specialist for dance, theatre and screen, with a particular interest in education and creation. She holds a BA (Hons) in dance from Kingston University and an MA in Movement: Directing and Teaching from the Royal Central school Of Speech and Drama. She holds a diploma from the Senegalese International dance school ‘Ecole des Sables’ and from the ‘Teatro Nacional de Cuba’ and has studied and continuous to, in a variety of other organisations across Europe.
She is a researcher, folklore lover, educator, choreographer, movement coach/director, performer and writer, who has fulfilled many different roles within the performing art scene and within community settings, in a variety of work environments and countries such as UK, Senegal, Italy, Mexico, Switzerland, Greece, Granada and Cuba. Her practice intends to share and celebrate an integrated vision of the body-mind-consciousness system through movement. She integrates approaches from dance, theatre and somatic without placing hierarchies, sharing a mindful yet courageous creative process both in rehearsal and through her teachings.
At LAMDA, she is currently an interim associate movement tutor, teaching across several courses and directing both intimacy and movement for the MFA in Classical Acting, MFA in Professional Acting and BA (Hons) in Acting. As a practitioner at LAMDA, she is taking care of developing a creative approach around intimacy, space and touch for the ensemble.
One of her last movement directing roles has been for the award winning role-playing video game ‘Bulders Gate III’.
