Syllabi Update: Introductory, Communication & Performance
Update 21 May 2024 - Following feedback from customers, we have updated our Introductory, Communications and Performance syllabi which are now available to download via the links below and are available the purchase in paperback on our online shop.
As part of this update, Learners will be able to perform all pieces in the new Acting Anthology Volume 5 and previous Acting Anthology Volume 4, and all pieces in the new Verse and Prose Anthology Volume 20 and Verse and Prose Anthology Volume 19, for first assessment from 1 August 2024.
Updated Syllabus Specifications for LAMDA Introductory, Communication and Performance qualifications to come into effect from 1 August 2024.
We are pleased to announce that syllabus specifications for our updated qualifications are now available in digital format to download from the LAMDA website. The first assessments under the new specifications will take place from 1 August 2024.
Please read the information below carefully to ensure that learners are prepared according to the specifications that will be in effect when they are examined.

Affected qualifications and exams:
- LAMDA Introductory Examinations (Solo and Group, Stages 1, 2 and 3)
- LAMDA Graded Examinations in Communication (Entry Level to Grade 8, Speaking Verse and Prose, Reading for Performance, Speaking in Public)
- LAMDA Graded Examinations in Performance (Solo, Duo, and Combined, Entry Level to Grade 8, Acting, Devising Drama, Miming)
We will continue to assess learners who have been entered for the above qualifications against the applicable 2019 syllabus specifications for exams taken up to and including 31 July 2024.
Development
LAMDA is passionate about designing each qualification so that every individual can demonstrate their skills, knowledge, and creativity.
The new syllabus specifications have been developed following an in-depth process including detailed consultation with a range of stakeholders, including teachers, centre coordinators and examiners, with clarity and accessibility at the forefront of all changes.
Over the coming months, LAMDA will also be developing additional support materials. More details coming soon.

New Acting and Verse & Prose Anthologies
Publishing on 25 April 2024, LAMDA will be partnering with Nick Hern Books to distribute our new anthologies internationally, in both paperback and ebook formats.
