LAMDA is heading to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe
We’re delighted to announce that LAMDA is heading to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe this summer, with a brand-new production of Stephen Sondheim’s Into The Woods.
This will be the very first time that we’ve showcased work at the world’s largest arts festival, following the introduction of our MA / MFA Musical Theatre programme last year.
Staring the current cohort of students, working with a professional creative team, this month-long run of public performances will be a crucial component of their training.
Course Leader, Annabel Mutale-Reed said: “I couldn’t be more excited to showcase the next generation of musical theatre talent at the Edinburgh Fringe. Not only is Into The Woods one of the world’s best loved musicals, this production reflects our growing emphasis on music and dance as performance disciplines as a drama school.”
Into The Woods will premiere in the Sainsbury Theatre at LAMDA in late July before transferring to Greenside at George Street’s Forest Theatre from 2 August to 24 August (excluding 11 & 18 August).
Tickets for the Edinburgh performances can now be purchased on the Fringe Festival website. Dates of the London performances, as well as further details, will be announced in the coming weeks.
