LAMDA Alumni Company Celebrates Official Launch

18 March 2025

On Friday 14 March, LAMDA was proud to support the newly formed LAMDA Alumni Company at their official launch event, Second Acts.

The LAMDA Alumni Company is an exciting initiative created by recent graduates to help bridge the gap between drama school and the professional world.

Founded to foster continued training, community building, and the development of new projects and performances, the company hopes to create opportunities for alumni to connect, share and create together. With the support of LAMDA, the company aims to provide a platform for alumni to develop and share their work.

The LAMDA Alumni Company held its first event on 8 November last year, with a rehearsed reading of Paul Sellar’s new play STORMHAVN in The Sainsbury Theatre.  Directed by LAMDA’s Principal and CEO, Mark O’Thomas, the piece featured recent graduates from the classes of 2023 and 2024.

The company celebrated their official launch on Friday 14 March with Second Acts, a variety night featuring LAMDA Alumni. Company members Bonnie Langthorn and Madisyn Mugavero curated a range of diverse pieces from Sondheim to Shakespeare, along with some new writing as well which was warmly received at LAMDA's Sainsbury Theatre.
