Maggie Bain

Maggie is an actor, voice actor, movement director, and immersive XR practitioner, with nearly 20 years of expertise in physicality and collaborative storytelling across stage, screen, video games, and the immersive arts.

Since 2015, Maggie has been a practitioner with Frantic Assembly, delivering physical theatre projects and training sessions globally. They are a creative consultant for the Royal Shakespeare Company's Digital Department, exploring the integration of performance capture and XR technologies into live theatre. They regularly deliver talks on the experience of performers within extended reality technologies at tech conferences including SXSW, MozFest and Beyond.

Maggie's motion capture work includes SHAPESHIFTER, a virtual reality immersive experience exploring the diversity of nature, which they are also co-directing, DREAM (RSC & Marshmallow Laser Feast) and various video game titles currently under NDA. Theatre credits include DRACULA (National Theatre of Scotland), LINCK & MÜLHAHN (Hampstead Theatre), Henry V (Shakespeare's Rose) and A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM (Shakespeare's Globe). Screen includes: LUTHER: THE FALLEN SUN (Netflix), INTERGALACTIC (Sky), I HATE SUZIE (Sky) and THE END OF THE F***ING WORLD (Netflix). Audio work includes HELL CATS (Audible), THE TEMPEST (BBC), Peking Noir (BBC) and Battlefield V (EA Games).
