Exams remote online assessments

In these difficult times, we recognise how disappointing it has been for our learners to have their exams postponed.

With the lockdown extended, we want to ensure that learners are still able to take their exams and get recognition for all their hard work. Starting this summer we will be introducing remote online assessments for our Introductory, Entry Level and Level One solo exams, before rolling out our Level Two solo exams. Learners will be able to take their exams from their own home, with an examiner conducting their assessment via Zoom.

If your exams were rescheduled due to the coronavirus, our exams team will be in touch to offer you priority access to remote online assessments and arrange a new exam date for your learners.

Yes. If your exams were postponed, our exams team will be in touch shortly to offer you priority access to book a remote online assessment for your learners.

Where will remote online assessment take place?

Remote online assessment will take place at the learners home until the government's social distancing measures are lifted. Our examiners will conduct their assessments via Zoom. We will be releasing further information shortly.

I have not had an exam postponed. Can I still book exams at the online centre?

Yes, but we are prioritising those learners whose exams have been cancelled. Please email [email protected] to schedule your exam.

I have a Private Centre and would prefer for my learners to take a face to face exam. What should I do?

You can continue to submit date booking requests via ExamTrack. We would recommend that you book dates from July onwards.

Are July in person examinations still going ahead?

Yes, customers with learners booked for July examinations will still be assessed in the usual way. However, we are monitoring the situation and will be in touch if we are unable to support face to face exams in July.         

I’d prefer to enter my learners for a face to face exam at a Public Centre. What should I do?

We will be releasing details about additional Public Centre dates around the UK. If you’ve already submitted an entry form for a cancelled date, we’ll need you to submit a new one for the summer / autumn dates selected. We will be offering an online entry form to make this process as easy as possible for you.

I normally enter learners at a Public Centre but would like my learners to be assessed remotely. What do I do?

At the moment we are only offering remote online assessments for Private Centres. We are working hard to offer remote assessments for all of our learners and will be releasing more information soon on how this will work.

Will you be offering duologue, combined or group exams for remote online assessments?

At present, we are only able to offer solo exams for remote online assessment.
