About the course
The key to a good audition, in any context, is that you feel confident in the room. Getting back in the audition room or a sense of normality is a challenge for anyone at the moment, especially with the rise of online auditions.
Here, during this intense one-day workshop, we offer you a safe training environment encouraging you to take risks and explore new aspects of your performance. Immediate feedback from your LAMDA tutors who are all experts in audition scenarios will help you re-engage with the in-person audition process.
The course is taught by Industry practitioners who regularly sit on audition panels and direct, to support you in getting the best out of your next audition and help ease the transition.
On completion you will receive a short course certificate.
What will I be doing?
The day will involve a movement workshop to help you re-discover being in audition environment in person and re-engage with your body. You'll take away tips and advice on finding your centre, grounding yourself and how to handle nerves.
The following areas will be covered during the workshop:
- What makes a good audition
- How to re-engage with your body
- Practice your material in front of a live audience of your peers and course leader
- How to bring your best when you're nervous
