We're delighted to join diverse Higher Education membership network
We've joined GuildHE, an organisation which lobbies and influences UK Government on behalf of universities and colleges, and are working towards creating a sector which is more distinctive, more inclusive and stronger as a result.
LAMDA Principal, Joanna Read commented “LAMDA is very pleased to be joining GuildHE. The opportunity to learn from and add our voice to a range of similar professionally-focused HE providers is crucial in an age when our sector is subject to continuous change and ever more intense scrutiny. GuildHE’s work and advocacy in areas such as practitioner-led teaching, widening participation and responding effectively to Brexit chime with many of LAMDA’s concerns, and we are really looking forward to benefiting from and contributing to the networking and support which GuildHE offers.”
Gordon McKenzie, GuildHE CEO said “I am delighted that LAMDA is joining GuildHE. Like LAMDA, our members share a commitment to high quality technical, vocational and professional higher education. One of the great strengths of UK higher education is its diversity. World-leading specialist institutions like LAMDA are a hugely important part of that. They provide expert staff, highly effective teaching and learning and close links to the professional world and offer an excellent experience for students.”
Founded in 1967, GuildHE is one of two membership bodies for Higher Education (HE) in the UK. It particularly represents institutions specialising in the Arts. Members of GuildHE represent the full diversity of the HE sector and share a commitment to socially inclusive higher education which values excellent teaching and high impact research.
