Professor Mohammad Dastbaz
Mohammad is presently Deputy Vice Chancellor at the University of Suffolk, responsible for the development of the university’s academic strategy for growth and sustainable development as well as research and enterprise strategy for 2020.
Prior to that he was Pro Vice Chancellor at Leeds Beckett University, leading the Faculty of Arts, Environment and Technology including the schools of art, architecture and design, film, music and performing arts as well as creative and digital technologies. He is a member of the board of directors of the University of Suffolk and was an elected member of the board of governors at Leeds. Mohammad is a research active Professor of Informatics and over the past four years has published a series of books on “Sustainable Futures” with international publishers Springer and Elsevier.
Mohammad is a fully trained QAA auditor and was the director of finance at the Omid Housing Association for a number of years. In 2017 Mohammad joined the Architecture Association (the AA) Council. Prof. Mohammad Dastbaz is a fellow of Higher Education Academy, British Computers Society, Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce and Institute of Innovation and Knowledge Exchange.
